Privacy, explained clearly.

Overview

Mosilo is designed to provide German-learning tools while keeping personal-data collection limited. You do not need to create an account or provide an email address to use the app. Mosilo does not request your precise location, contacts, or payment-card details.

Information stored on your device

Learning progress, preferences, streaks, scores, favorites, review history, and an optional profile name are stored locally on your device. This information is used to personalize lessons and show your progress. Mosilo does not require an account and does not upload this learning profile to a Mosilo account server.

Third-party services

These providers process data under their own policies. Review the Google Privacy Policy and the Firebase privacy information for more details.

Permissions and device services

• Microphone: used only when you start a pronunciation exercise. Audio is processed by the speech recognition service configured on your device. Mosilo does not intentionally keep a recording after the exercise, but the device or speech provider may process audio under its own terms.
• Notifications: used for learning reminders and, if enabled, Firebase messages. You can deny or disable this permission at any time.
• Exact alarms and startup: may be used to schedule reminders you request and restore them after a reboot or app update. The app falls back to inexact scheduling if exact alarms are unavailable.
• Internet: required for ads, consent management, optional push notifications, and Google Play purchases.

Security and retention

Network connections used by the integrated services are encrypted in transit. Sensitive local profile values use platform secure storage where supported, and purchase payloads are signature-checked before Premium access is granted. Third-party providers retain information according to their policies and legal obligations.

Your choices and deletion

Mosilo does not create a developer-hosted user account. To delete the learning data kept by the app, clear Mosilo's storage in Android Settings or uninstall the app. This removes local progress, preferences, streaks, scores, favorites, review history, and the optional profile name from that device.

• Review available advertising privacy choices inside Mosilo settings.
• Reset or delete the advertising ID from your Android device settings.
• Disable microphone or notification access in system settings.
• Manage or cancel Premium through your Google Play subscriptions.

To request help with deletion, email us at the address below with the subject Mosilo Data Deletion Request and state which data or service concerns you. We respond to valid requests as soon as reasonably possible. Mosilo has no account server on which to retain your local learning profile. Transaction records, fraud prevention information, advertising data, or notification service data held by Google may be retained by Google for the periods required by its policies or law; we will direct you to the relevant Google control or request process when applicable.

Children's privacy

Mosilo is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly request account registration, a child's email address, precise location, or contact list. A parent or guardian should supervise microphone, notification, advertising-consent, and purchase choices for younger users where applicable.

Policy updates

We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published.
